This may look like a photo of the corner of a typical artist’s studio. But in this case, it is a photo of what my studio looked like after a desert thunderstorm dumped too much rain for the gutters to handle resulting in an overflow flowing under my door.
Luckily, I was able to get my work and most of the other miscellaneous items I’d been storing under the work desk up off the floor in time. Then quickly diverted the water until the brief storm moved on. I lost only a couple newspaper sketchpads. Afterwards, I decided it was time to de-clutter, put my old easel away and find a more suitable storage space for my finished paintings.
You can see my most recent painting in the background.
I’ve been working on a process to uncover my theme which I hope to reveal next time.
